after 3weeks of having my first fh, i finally got it to accept pellets! like i fed it blood worms and krill then today it finally started eating pellets! i gave it chili humpy head, chingmix head, and osi fh pellets. wats the best pellet food or staple to give to these guys?

congrats! My fh doesn't like any pellets except for chingmix headbooster/maxima so chingmix must be doing something right...

Well chingmix just came out with a staple, Grand Sumo also has a staple. Or you could just buy a normal cichlid staple and remember too many enhancers are bad for your fish.

Mine only ate ching mix when young. Now he only eats spectrum. My younger FHs eat just about anything. One prefers OSI flowerhorn pellets but eats everything else too.

I've read somewhere that the ratio is 2:1 staple to specialty food.

Variety is good for your flowerhorn brother but try not to used lots of variety since we will never know which pellets are the best for our fishes bro. My suggest try to used 2-3 pellets then mixed it also don't forget about the blood worms since those stuff also an important thing for your flowerhorn growth. GBU
