i have finally changed my fish, i have gone from mean bastard midas/terror and a breeding pair of jags that i loved to bits but i just got fed up with the midas trying to kick arse all the time i think he finally reached maturity.

so i have gone for a peaceful tank (hopefully) i have stocked my 130g with 3 nice earth eaters, i rescued a nice tiger oscar off a friend,i may get a albino oscar in there with him, in a couple of days im picking up a catfish cant remeber its name and a couple of red hooks.

i think thats it couldnt really think of anything else

def sounds like it will be peaceful lol what type of earth eaters are they? usually eatheaters like to be in groups of like 5 so if possible i would get a couple more of them (still should be fine with 2 Os and dithers) also make sure the catfish your getting is one that stays small like a pictus or something as there are lots of cats out there that are really only suitable for the biggest of tanks and ponds GOOD LUCK

got f1 red head tapajos and surimensis for sale in mid january if your interested. im in the u.k london.
fry at the moment are 1-1.5''

i may get 2 more eartheaters to join them cos they r cool i cant think what type they have a block spot mid body if thats any help.
that cat fish is a pictus that im getting.
i will ahve a think about them vincentii

a lot of geos have a black spot, do you have a clear picture of them...either way a good choice, although things can always change since you will have 2 oscars in the same tank

how would a ghost knife be with these fish?????

ghost knife could work as long as you have oscars that aren't too aggressive, so it should be able to work.

thats what i was thinking i will put that on the maybe list i will see what i can find im hopey picking up the pictus cats tomorrow and prob the albino oscar and then i will get the red hooks when the shop show tank gets striped

oh ok yeah that sounds like it should be fine and i have alot more aggressive cichlids with my bgk than oscars (green terrors, cubans, dempsey, robertsoni) granted the largest is the robertsoni at 6in so the others are still young but they are aggressive with each other but totally ignore the bgk so i wouldnt see why it wouldnt work unless you get the random oscar that likes to kill things however with the pictus in there it is going to be hard getting food to him, so just make sure to target feed him until he is big enough to not be shy about getting his food
