Yay! The goldsaums spawned!
Echo and Enyx, for those of you who don't remember, are my juvenile GTs that I bought about two months ago after seeing they had spawned in the LFS tank at about 3". They are both easily the best looking GTs I've personally seen. I've been waiting for them to breed since I brought them home. They did lay eggs for the first time a couple weeks ago, but someone decided to eat them a day or two later. Then, early this week, they did it again...but again, the eggs disappeared after a day or two. Well, I guess I just didn't notice the eggs right away, because apparently this time when they disappeared, they had hatched overnight. I just spotted the huge pile of newly hatched babies tucked into a corner underneath the fake root they call home. At first I thought it was a buildup of waste, but when I looked closer, they're little wrigglers
In the same tank, about half a foot away from the GT nursery, the convicts have spawned for the first time as well. Theirs just hatched overnight last night.
