We finally dug my buddy's pond nice and big. My only question is will a big ole' pleco cause damage to the rubbery liner when he is sucking on it? He's probably about 1.5' right now.

Other than the pleco, the pond is gonna be all natives.

I'll get the pics once its ready for its close up.
 
Hard to say, is it a epdm liner?

I've had them chew thru epdm, vinyl, fiberglass/resin & painted wood...sometimes they think they're missing something in there diet :D.

Others never seem to even try.

Best to just keep them fed and happy ...and keep an eye on them :ROFL:.

Pix during the build are appreciated by the :newbie:s too.

Sarasota. With the recent rains we have found some issues that need to be resolved.
I'm not sure what exact kind of liner as I was not with him when he bought it. It feels like a tire innertube though.
 
Sounds like EDPM 45mil liner, keep us posted on the progress.
