Finaly got a 55 gallon aquarium!!

It sounds like you think things through, which is important in this hobby. Its cool your Dad and you worked together to set up your system and to get it going. That's what its all about my friend!

The bullhead will get too big for a 55. I had a brown in a 55 and he outgrew it so I had to upgrade him to a 75. Keep an eye out for one of those :)
 
Mom says no more fish tanks... but also she said I can have no aquariums in my room. I have a 4 gallon biOrb, 10 gallon hex, and 55 now haha :P
 
I plan on it lol, as soon as i get a job imma save up enough to get a 20 long to go under the 55 X), Another thread for stocking on that later as well ;)
 
Nice setup and nice seeing another Iowan. Your channel will get huge quick. Lol so be prepared the one in my avatar was 30". They are awesome cats though if you can take care of them. Gl giving it to cabelas. If they won't take it I might be able to help u out
 
After 9 different times tries I finally got to take my fish to cabelas. I'm very happy that they are finally in a appropriately sized tank for them now. I'm left with a bluegill, alone, in the 55. I'm thinking of putting my female pink convict in with her and also my female oragespot sunfish. I'll post pics soon. Oh, also I've decided to get pfs for my substrate and I will be getting that done hopefully next weekend.
