Carl here is about 8 in. long and yes, he is fat and eats very well. he is my first cichlid, and i love him to death. he has gone from being about 1-1/2 long when i got him to this size in under 4 months.

he is under a year old and is kept with a dragon goby and a little silver catfish thing(cant remeber what he is).
