Finding a pond

I tried a 300 Rubbermaid stock tank,

also wouldn't fit thru the basement door, works great outside though. The 100 gal does fit.
The EPDM pond liners are less expensive as far as size goes in gallons per buck. I got one that holds much more than 1000 gallons for less than $200.00.

^Really nice i like it. I have an idea to make a pond similar to that one and it will be around 15' by 8' and around 4' deep. It will be huge! can anyone estimate the gallonage for me? Im not sure how to do it. But i would just do the same thing as the guy above me did. But just use 2x4s and cinder blocks as supports and cover everything in rock or wood your choice. Good Luck

One of my friends has one in his basement that is made of redwood landscaping timbers and a pond liner. Looks great and is probably close to 300 gals. A cheap way of going for an outdoor pond is to contact a local home builder. A lot of higher end whirlpool tubs come with a thick protective liner that usually gets thrown away.

Thanks! I have a footprint of a 3500 gallon pond just sitting in my yard lol and I am planning on this weekend relocating some of my baby painted turtles and lmb from my really big pond in new York to my fish tank in nj then I'll start working on the pond! When they are larger I'll release them into the 3500 gallon. Also have any of you tried putting Natural freshwater plants into your aquariums? I have some anachris like plant covering about 3000 feet worth of pond and I have it readily and I'm wondering if I can use this in my fish tanks?

I have used pond plants inside and the reverse. Just have to make sure your tank has strong lights.

I took a pool liner and put it in a cracked 300 stock pond Outside. All the fish lived till it randomly snowed last week...

Looks like i need to measure my door to make sure whatever I decide to buy or make goes through the door haha, those are some nice ponds everyone has posted
