finding earthworms around pond?

Earthworms like damp soil.
I'm not sure to understand the meaning of your question!!!
Could you state it again?

My boyfriend told me he used to run a 2X4 into the ground and then tap on the end of it when he wanted to go fishing. The vibration irritates them and makes them surface. Or so he says. Worth a shot. :)

That's cool Skrefany. I never heard about that. To collect worms, i just dig in a damp area. That usually does the trick. Look out for area that stays shady and cool.

Yeah, I thought it was too. He said he would put the board in diagonally and the worms would come up over the top of it.

Electric shock will bring them to the surface. I have the best luck under logs or piles of lawn clippings. Night time w/a flash light covered w/wax paper is an easy way also. Walk softly or bare foot is better.

take a piece of cardboard and soak it and put it over a shady dirt spot, after a day or so, there should be plenty of them up at the surface under the cardboard. This is what we did for worms when i was a little kid
