Most of the time, a sunken belly means it is infested with internal parasites. I've starved(Had to go out of state) my fish for a month and NONE I mean NONE of them had sunken in bellies.

There is chance I would say 50% like Water says, that there is a paracitic infection. Because hes been in your tank now with your other fish you should probably treat the tank for parasites so you dont lose any fish.
