Nice job. I do recommend having a spare solenoid valve around. Depending on your water chemistry, they can stick. Mine never stuck, but for $12, you can't beat having a spare.

To add, the benefit of having a water change in lieu of a drip system is that rainy season idea that will help encourage breeding and simulate the natural environment a bit more.

exactly a system i will be incorporating into my future build..
At first i'll probably just set it up as a manual system where i'll have to flip the valve to empty and then run the water to fill it back up.. but i will investigate the automatic part of it..
