Haha, your thinking p-bass right? I am thinking about tankmates but haven't made up my mind. My main fish in the tank are gonna be the bichir, so I don't want the tankmates to steal the food or annoy the bichir. I am think maybe 3 Hepsetus odoe would be cool. Still open for suggestions though.

Cheers

just out of curiosity, do you have the water level in ur sump covering, or close to covering the bio-balls? it would seem if you do that it would inhibit the growth of the aerobic bacteria...

Thanks! Are you gonna sell your RTG then or are you gonna keep both?

I was actually thinking about keeping it the africa theme, but I found out that there are little suited mid level swimmers.

So I had not dicided yet, maybe a african pike and some (3) dats would be nice.
Unfortunately, mine is only a quasi african tank lol.
I also have a megalodoras uranoscopus and the RTG which is staying. But if i can get another tank large enough for the RTG then it'll only be africans in the tank (but i know i won't be able to get another large tank for a really long time)

Yes I know, but they where actually not intended to go in there. I have already bough them before I got hold of this second hand tank. I intented to use only foam and let it get dirty a little bit for a filtration wich suits my tank and inhabitation.

Hepsetus odoe it should be, the only prob would be needing to use a tube to feed the bichirs.
Im trying to get a 300 for a group of H.O., like about 7.

Hey Taz, thanks for the advice with the tube! I am probably gonna get 1 H. odoe, so I might need that.

Haha, you have a cool tank man! I don't really care it's a quasi african tank. But I just think a RTG wil be ultimatly to big for my tank and I ain't getting a bigger tank in a long time to, so that's not gonna be my choise. So besides the african theme, I think a H. odoe would be well suited to go in this tank.

Cheers

Nice tank, I really liked the background
