One weekend later and we have it framed and dry walled. 1 step closer.

Tank will be 8x3x2.5

Don't judge me to hard. It was my first time framing and dry walling.

Pics and updates to follow.

Will do. After putting up the walls I'm limited to 8 x 3 x 30" I wanted 4 feet front to back but it's just not going to happen

Looks good from here.

My wife once suggested I finish the basement, and I replied that if I did, then she and the kids would start hanging out down there too.....if I leave it just the way it is (cold, dark, and dank), nobody would want to go down there and I get to keep my own private space in the house lol

Thanks. I am planning on moving my room down in the basement with the fish lol. So I decided I needed to make it a bit more livable. I'm very surprised at how cheap doing this was. If I had known that you can finish a basement for about $200 a room I would have done it along time ago.

Well done man! Every step closer is a couple kg weight off your shoulders/mind. Keep up the good work. Taping mudding and sanding is a.... female dog.

I have my uncle coming Saturday to tape and mud. Lol I passed on trying that on my own

Update!!

All drywall is up. Uncle is here taping and mudding the walls and corners.

Plywood tank is no longer in the plan. I somehow through some stroke of luck found a free leaking 300 gallon tank. That's what I'll use for now.

Here is some pics of the walls and a pic of the tank when I picked it up and now when it's clean.
