Beamswork people!!!
I know you said your not doing planted lights but the beamswork power led series is very bright lighting. Give them a try. I enjoy them a lot. They look good with a high gloss black housing I haven't had one fail yet and neither has anyone of the people who have bought one off me. The downfall is there is no built in timer so if you want that go with the beamswork hi lumen models. These can come in a variety of colors. For your tank I would try the 10000k and actinic light. Buy the beamswork timer for this model and you can control the whites and blues separately. This light has an aluminum housing. All these lights look like marineland lights but are far brighter and better builtIs there a particular model numeber you like and what about them do you like ? Ive been wanting to try something new
Isn't that mainly used for a marine setup. A planted tank uses light near the 6500k spectrum. For your tank I would try the 10000k and actinic light
I thought he said he no longer needs a planted tank light but if he does the power led series has a 6500k light designed for planted tanksIsn't that mainly used for a marine setup. A planted tank uses light near the 6500k spectrum.
that is the spectrum used for marine. Usually they use 8k-20k but a .5 watt led light in 10000k and actinic will only benefit the fishes color and not grow coral unless it has a high outputIsn't that mainly used for a marine setup. A planted tank uses light near the 6500k spectrum.
Right here lolI don't need a Plant light just something that makes the fish pop.

Those lights should work well with a low light planted tank if you ever change your mind.Well I haven't gotten the new power brick yet, but I did buy a new tank. Unfortunately It now will have two 36" lights for a 48" tank (The finnex planted plus and the current usa satellite). But it should be fine since it's not planted. I picked up a 75g from petco on their $1/gal sale. I am in the process of building the stand and canopy.
