No, the parents were in the same tank. I'm still a bit amazed that the babies survived the heaters incident.

they are more resilient when they are young I guess. I had the same thing happen to some fry the tank was up to 100 deg. F and they were fine it was like that through the night so probably 8 hrs at least... they all survived I was amazed!

What makes a "Finnish cichlid tank"?

Finnish STYLE cichlid tank (you know, since I am Finnish and all...)

The idea of this post was to show how the typical finnish hobbyist assembles the setup for a biototope tank this size. It might not look much, but at least it's quite accurate.
