Fire eel attack!

My american eels all learned to eat out of my hand, one of they on the first day out of the wild. I had a spiny eel once, when I was a neophyte. It was really cool, but much more recalcitrant then the american eels. It was hardly ever seen. A spiny, a peacock, and a semingly empty tank. One day, they were just not there at cleaning time. never did figure that one out.

I've decided fire eels are the fish equivalent of a hyperactive and bored ten-year-old. The one at my LFS is also a pretty goofy sucker. Sort of violent, too.

My fire eel "pyro", tries to get my fingers everytime my hand is in the tank. On the bright side, he doesn't hurt you and he's big enough to see him comming ...
