I currently feed my fire eels cut up frozen shrimp, cut up frozen tilapia, frozen krill, live red wigglers, live night crawlers, and occasionally frozen bloodworms. They eat all of this, but won't touch pellets. My largest is about 16-17", medium is about 14-15", and smallest is 11-12". None of them have a problem with any of these foods. The other night, I fed six large night crawlers with the frozen food and my largest fire eel scarfed down all six before the others even had a chance.
