  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
depending on what size you get him at, i would expect they should reach no less than about 12"+ in a year...

If he's the only fish in the 20 should be fine for a few monthes.. if not.. he's likley to jump. ime they are extreamely skittish and reclusive and need space and tlc to settle into your tank. They can grow ime as fast as a RTC or silver arrowana 1"+ a month or more and reach 12"+easily by their first year if not before that. your 100 gallon will last approx 2yrs before it will be outgrown.

I keep mine in a 20 with 7 khuli loaches and two african dwarf frogs which he actually plays with sometimes. i've had him for about 8 months and he's grown from 4 to 9 inches. fixing to move him into a 55 with knife fish & other oddballs

he has never tried escaping but make sure you get an underwater or canister filter because they will swim into the filter and you will never be able too see them. mine was doing this forever.

just make sure its sealed and he can't go to dangerous places. My old fire eel used to swim up my filter and stay there....
