hey guys what’s the growth rate of a fire eel if fed the right diet?

Would a good sized fire eel be safe with a RTC?

And what’s the best diet for growth?

Really would love to keep one but not sure

Will grow fast. About an 1 in per month till about 18-20 inches. But by about 24 plus inch fish in coupe years.

Will eat bloodworms, Black worms, e-worms, cut up fish and shrimp. When bigger can take pellets.

I don't think I'd ever keep a fire eel with an RTC. It will never be too big to get eaten by an adult RTC.

Thanks guys...The well I was looking to get is 35cm and my RTC is about 20-25cm...Still not sure as RTC’s can be bastards when you really like a fish

I’ve seen a mate keep a 15cm RTC with a 6cm tire track eel and the RTC doesn’t even care about it

The fire eel will end up in the RTC’s stomach. They can grow quite quickly, and can reach up to 40”, although their full grown size ranges from 24-40”. However, they remain slender so the RTC will easily be able to eat it if similar in size or larger.

risky, if you want tankmates for your gulper they usually ignore small community fish as adults such as endless guppies,zebra danios,cherry shrimp,tetras etc
