Fire Eel not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I feed my fire eel and tire track eel live red wrigglers. For the TT, I pick out the smallest ones. It's surprising how large of a worm they can handle, if they can figure out that they're supposed to eat it from the end, not from the middle. Both of them started eating within just a couple days of introducing them to their tanks.

You can also cut up some salad shrimp from your local grocery store or fish market. I feed all my fish small chunks from time to time and works great for picky feeders.

I saw him eat 3 bloodworms last night - he was behind some large pieces of driftwood in the tank so he might have eaten more then that.

So I think when he gets hungry enough he'll eat :D

they can quite stubborn, i tried starving mine for a period of time, every now and then , i throw in pieces of market shrimp, she will smell it , but after that took no interest in it anymore. finally after 3-4 days or so, i gave up. And i fed her ghost shrimp. now she wont eat anything other than ghost shrimp. perhaps she likes the thrilled of hunting her own meal.
