What is wrong with my fire eel. He is really pale and seems to be just sitting at the bottom not moving at all. He used to be so energetic. Sometimes he' acts wobbly like he can't gain his composure. Swims wobbly too sometimes. He eats though! What's the matter

Looks like ammonia burn. What's your water params like? I would do a water change first. Is there tank mates? Is that uneaten food he's laying in?

Honestly he looks like **** still. Idk what's going on my ammonia read 0 before I even did the water change. Nitrite was 0 and nitrate was minimal to none. Still looks very weak it is just him that looks very sick; no other fish look even slightly abnormal. It looks like he's slowly rotting away and I still don't know what's wrong.

I have seen this before on spiny eels, nobody really knows what causes it though AFAIK. If I remember correctly, those whose eels did pull through (few, sadly) used some Kind of anti-fungus medicine and of course lots of WC. I will try to find what exactly was used.
