Fire eel sure is picky

All of this is starting to make me a little nervous. I'm going to buy/order a 12" fire eel soon, as in the next couple weeks. I'm hoping that mine won't be so picky or at least come out more.

On the other hand, I'm glad to hear that the fire eel gets along with a BGK. I was sort of nervous about that, too. This thread answered those questions. Thanks, guys!

just thought i give this thread of mine an update.

i mixed live tubefix with FBW and after 2 weeks or so of feeding, fire eel start eating both.

next i did the same trick with mp and now they also eating mp.

as of today, they really start to open up till i could hand feed FBW.

still they are escape artist, i found them twice in my sump. so i netted up the overflow box. np ever since

I have tire eels and they didn't eat any thing until i tried giving them worms from the bait store try feeding them frozen shrimp mine love them.
