Fire Eel

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
use the feeder buckets. they have tiny holes in them so the eels can suck the worms out. they will also fall out slowly cuz of the current etc. and you can stick it to the glass near the surface. i also use this to put in regular worms so the eels have something to do.

if your fire eel is new in a tank it might take a while before it starts eating. Sometimes it takes 2 weeks before they accept any food. Just keep trying and earthworms are allways good for fire eels. i´ve never seen a fire eel refusing earthworms. Frozen bloodworms are also good food but they contain mostly water. If you don´t want your water to get dirty, just defrost they in some water and siff the bloodworms out.

K.O.D those are some awesome rays and your fire eel :headbang2 that looks awesome im still looking for one so far no luck..... how big is your tank that has to be at least 500 gallons.....

I've never seen mine eat anything but he must as he is at least a foot long and still growing I feed blood worms shrimp and sinking shrimp pellets

just throw the blood worms in don't worry if they fall into the gravel fire eels are good at digging it will burrow around and find them but they love worms krill and shrimp hope it starts eating we'll
