I didn't have any fire eels tis past year. i've only had one last year. So what if I change stock often, is that a problem to you? Anyways, I will be trading my tt eel for a fire.

My mistake, though you've had at least two other fire eels though. Hard to keep up with your stock. Depending on the reason why you change stock so often, it is only a problem for the fish:(

Its no problem for the fish... what are you on? Some of the fish i keep get to big for a 150 so I just give them to my lfs 300 display tank. is their a problem with that?? jeez, some of the comments you mfker's make are idiotic and stupid at times especially one thread I made i had a whole bunch of members come on their and start to insult me left and right.
I am really pissed now to the point if anyone else bothers to insult me thier will be trouble...... :( I mean come on this used to be a good forum at times.
Anyways, lets get back on topic and on to postive stuff..
I traded my aggressive tire track eel away, for a fire eel of about 3-5''.
He's in my 150 with a nice cave.. will try feeding him shrimp, and worms.

i like fire eels... i had one that choked to death....it loved ghost shrimp and snails...i think it tried to eat a big snail and choked...live black worms and angel worms are good food sorces

ok thx

no prob...alot of people say to get them off live if you can but i feel if they are healthy make them happy a good mix of foods is always good....just to poke the bear....DON"T buy fish you can't house for LIFE...:ROFL:j/k;).....don't take things to heart cause after all this is the internet and everyone runs there mouth but they only do this cause they know they wont ever see you inperson...ya some people say it is all about the fish, but if they were for real about the way they feel they wouldn't put them in a box so they can see them...

Why so defensive, I was just wondering what had happened to the other fire eel you had before ya got banned. If you would just provide straight answers all the confusion would be limited, but you don't and it always seems as if your defending yourself.

Edit: Nevermind I went back through your old threads and seen what happened. Sorry.

im not saying on anything on what they go with lol coz i had a TT and a fire and a peacock, along with flowerhorns and polys.
unfortunately they died when my tank decided to re-cycle itself. but they were 8" at that time and were fine...past that iv heard they rnt a good mix.

feed anything wormy lol, although mine used to love anything u threw in to the tank.
he LOVED live shrimp too.

3-5" I'de say go w/ frozen bloodworms, Try and get it eating dead/prepared foods as soon as you can. My guys where relatively big when I got them.. and lemme just say.. it costs more to feed them a month then it does my dog. because they are very stubborn about what they'll eat. sinking cichlid pellets, frozen bloodworms, if live. Blackworms are excellent for the smaller eels. particularly in that size range. larger amounts of smaller foods are better then one or 2 big peices. Mix it up as best you can, in the future you'll be glad you did. Live foods are apart of a balanced healthy diet imo as well.. but these guys more 'n most fish I've delt with can become very finicky eaters as well if the opportunity is present.

I also see a lungfish on your sig. keep an eye on it. and the ornate. chances are if you're gonna have issues it will be from one of those 2. Though ime fire eels will grow 1"+ a month if fed well.

Thanks for the advice guys!
