i had a big fire eel with my ray withouth problems/ the only thing was the fact that my eel is a freaking eating machine so sometimes it would actually try to steal my ray's food from its mouth! luckely the ray was wasnt much impressed by this.
All my fire eels only ate regular worms when they were small. When they reached the 35cm mark they started eating more things. Now their absolute favourite is mussel. They will also get shrimp and worm and sometimes fish filet. Mine never touched feeders, not even the baby cichlids i had for them to eat.
