FIRE FOX 3.5 is out

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
All my internet emails I get based on Digsby my IM client so thats better than having my browser monitor it. Also weather is done by Windows Side bar which works just fine. And I can live with ads because I understand that as a web developer thats how some make money so I am ok with them showing.

Cool... But I don't feel guilty not wanting to see all the ads. :)

I turned off the sidebar.. Found it was slowing my laptop down, turned off the aero feature also. W/O 4gb of ram and only a 14" screen having all that stuff tracked in a window is more tidy. I am not a fan of the clutter of all the IM services running.

Thats why I use Digsby a multi-IM client so I don't need 5 IM clients, just the one. Also, I understand about the windows sidebar I don't use it on my laptop but on my PC at work since i have dual 19" wide screen monitors and 4 gb of ram I am perfectly fine with it open. But I also have a ton of stuff open so I need to not have a browser hogging all the memory. Which until FF 3.5 FF was a HUGE memory hog. It still is but atleast they toned it down.

Customizing your browser is lame. Why do you need all those themes any ways? It just slows down FireFox anyways. Why not use the browser for what it is intended for, browsing the internet. Chrome FTW.
customizing doesn't always mean a theme. you can get down to barebones using firefox if you want. besides, even firefox with a skin or theme is still the fastest browser. ever heard of greasemonkey?

Don't argue with pissed off gnomes... It's pointless. They'll never give in.

It's still pretty lame that you have to install a third party add on to make the browser go faster or mess with the system configuration.

after this statement, i throw in the towel. there is no reason to argue a web designer that thinks you need an addon to modify firefox. you win.

here is a question... does the new firefox allow for the comcast tool bar to be used...
