well, I think this post just fueled the fire so to speak, har har! A new lightning storm is passing through and there's 3 separate flashpoint fires now, smoke making the sky dark, wind about 20 mph, it's getting nasty. I have bushes cut back 100 ft from the house, a fire line, green strip and firehose, and tractor but it really depends on the wind. The house would probably stand, but somedays it gets alot closer than I like.......

yes, at least that. Makes me feel sooo much better! NOT Really! I'd be happy if it gets bad if my animals are all safe, stuff can be replaced.

standard, but it seems more expensive, at least it covers firearms though. Probably should move the gun powder out of the house............!!!

Home owners and or Renters insurance premiums are based on the available fire protection and response times in the area. Some cover acts of God some charge extra for that. Anything can be insured for a price... It would sure suck because it seems there is never enough to cover catastrophic losses...
