Just thought I would add this. I know you already decided to keep him solo but thought maybe this would be good to know. Generally you don't want to mix animals from different regions because they simply can't handle each others bacteria etc. What's beneficial bacteria to the common toad could be toxic bacteria to the fire belly frog. At least that sums it up in lamens terms.
