Installed and all, but still can't watch embedded videos.

I don't see the pop up window anymore, but it's just a blank space where the video should be.
Try uninstalling Windows Media Player (Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> and uncheck Windows Media Player and hit OK), then delete C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\ and C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player, after that go back to Add/Remove Windows Components and check Windows Media Player to install it again.

OK, I unchecked Windows Media Player, but it said it INSTALLED something... what does that mean?

I can't delete C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\ because it said something is using it, but I have nothing open??

I but did delete the Media Player..

Another potential fix would be Download Accellerator Plus. It's a download manager, offers pause and resume an whatnot.
After installing it, run Adaware and it'll remove the banner ads on the download box.

When somethin won't work for me on Firefox, I fire up IE and the DAP program will snag it and let me download it to my computer instead of streaming it.

Download Accellerator has nothing to do with this what so ever.

M|L get on AIM and we will find the problem. :)
