Firemouth Aggression

Actually I've heard a number cases where single dominant male Firemouths can but real nasty pieces of work. Another method is to increase the stocking of the tank and make it busier so some vulnerable fish become less of a target.
 
I think I am going to take him back.

My SA/CA tank is very much a work in progress. I have put together a variety of "calmer" species that may, or may not work.
Some may change as they get older. But if a fish is too aggressive now, it could possibly only get worse.
 
I recently added a 4" gold severum to my 125 which has (4) 3" firemouths, one of the firemouth was picking at the severum, I just turned off the lights, thus calmed eveyone down. There was no more aggression towards the severum within a couple days.
