well my issue is,if i got the firemouths,they would be the biggest in the tank right off the bat.

if it's a 30G, that's about the min size for a pair of Firemouths; that's what my Firemouth is in, sharing with a Convict . . . doesn't leave for much more than a few small catfish or small dithers, wouldn't add much more

they probably look prettier tho when they are fighting..with their gills all flared out..since back in the day, my favorites, one of my favorites are the firemouth cichlids..

if my firemouths eat my danios...wat would u guys suggest getting? at that point id have a pleco and a bamboo shrimp left

maybe some swordtails? any central american livebearer too small to fit in their mouths.

I should have said too LARGE to fit in their mouths. Yeah swords, platys, ameca splendens, mollies, sail fin mollies. They'll eat the fry, but generally they leave the parents alone unless they're breeding. Plus FM's are central american cichlids, it just sort of makes sense to keep them with central american livebearers.
