firemouth cichlids as dithers?

well i went to the lfs looking for some dithers for my cr. lacustris that's about 10". ended up with 4 3" firemouth cichlids. anyone think this is gonna work? there going in the tank soon. lets hope all is well.

The firemouths I've had have been pretty shy. So I would not expect them to swim around in the open much.

I've seen some pretty shy FM myself. I dunno...maybe some Pbass.

Its possible theyll hide and survive.Act as dithers?I doubt it.

The FMs are going to get SERIOUSLY beat up. Being that much smaller than your lacustris, I'd say its only a matter of time before you have none. Lets hope you get lucky though and they don't end up as shredded mangled bodies that once resembled fish!

Convicts would of been alot better FMs will most likely get there ***es handed to them if they don't simply get eaten
