Really blood parrots are like Red Devils they at least need 100 gallon

No they don't a single blood parrot in a 40 is fine, heck 2-3 should be fine. Blood parrots aren't like Red Devils

x2 lots of bp 's are even stunted from being in WAY to small a tank at lfs..like 10 of em in a 20..the petsmart one I have is only about the size of the fm firemouth it's in with..the 40 is plenty big...I think he might be (mis-)classified as a" short body"

my personal formula (trial and error )is 1 or 2 small to med size cichlids(hybrids)in anything 4 ft or less, the exception being true dwarfs(ram types)and angels...and if you have to have a big fish in a small tank, make sure other fish aren't the same size(competition for territory kills fish in small tanks):)

Blood parrots are cross bred with Red Devils and Severums so they are like Red Devils and Severums so they do need a 100 gallon tank

They are not a mix of severum and red devil. I don't even think the two can cross breed. Red devils themselves honestly don't need a hundred. A 90 will do just fine for a single specimen

No one knows for sure what a blood parrot is made from. It is definitely not a severum red devil hybrid, because severums cannot hybridize outside of their genus. Besides that the largest blood parrot I have seen maxed out at around 7", and it was 10 years old. One or two would be fine in a 40.
