OH and need ideas on frozen treats and any type of food for the oscars!
I'd say feed them very little, 2x a week, and not frozen foods right now. If you have 62,5 gallons of water right now, with 2 oscars and 2 convicts, and a filter that has to be cycled again.. I mean that's just waiting for another cichlid to die if you feed a lot.
In my other post I said that the firemouth wouldn't die so quickly, but it was because I assumed with no filter you weren't feeding (or only a bit).

sry it took so long to reply but ya the tank is still have full ( and filter running great! eheim 2260 ) hoply tomm ill be able to finish filling! theres 2 oscars and 1 male convict in there. the firemouth was just about 2 inches. anyways today i also got rid of my 5 inch male pink convict ( thats who i think killed my firemouth as he wouldnt stop harassing the 2 oscars with are about an inch bigger then he is ) so i went and got a tiny female pink con ( for my male ) and a pleco ( grandparents wanted me to get one so i had to ) all fish are acting fine now that the male piink con is gone. and the male black ( 1.5 inches or less ) is having a black with the 1 inch female pink. think the pair will be fine with the 6 inche oscars? male black is 1.5 inches and female pink is 1 inch.

didnt have the filter goin for 2 days cause i didnt think it could work. but figured yesterday id try for the safty of my fish and now its been running for a day.

You're gonna want to do water changes frequently, like 2 times a week since it's so low. Less water = fouls up faster. Also, if weight was a concern, why is it not put in the lowest level of your home? We've pretty much told you what you need to do. Keep that filter intake low since it's so low in the tank. Also, do you have an airpump running some kind of air stone? If not, you need one. The fish will appreciate it.

Don't think he needs one, in the first pic I see the water coming from his filter outlet.
Doesn't it make a lot of noise?

the con didnt kill your firemouth...the fact that you didnt run a filter for 2 days killed it...you had no aeration running through the tank.......

yah makes alot of noise ( smoothing to ) but update. cant find the pleco ( tank is 5 foot with alot of spots to hide and also adding more stuff like PVC pipes. ) so im still wondering if the pleco is still alive... and the pink female is an inch and male is 2 inches and the male keeps chasing the female, will they start getting along? and found a few platy babys in the tank last nite ( quite a few females about to explode to ) the swordtail male keeps nicking at the female butt area so im thinking shes about to give birth to. the oscars are well oscars lol doing great to! so all is well so far.

for 2 days i had aration running. had a lil 20 gallon internal filter goin with no media ( shoulda pput media in there! )

so am i good on stocking?

pair of cons
2 oscars
12 or so platys
3 swordtails
4 black skirts
1 common pleco
??

and the eheim 2260 doesnt have anything on the hose ( filter part is open so fish would/could ( but doesnt ) get sucked up but im still looking for some sponge to go over it. when i clean the filter im going to lookin inside the eheim 2260 to see if any frys are in there.
