Well I asked the vet for maracyn / maracyn2 but we don't appear to get it here in the UK, this is the answer I got from the vet, what do you think?

Thanks for your email, and my apologies for the delay in replying.
I'm having difficulty getting confirmation of a safe preparation of erythromycin for fish. I can give you enrofloxacin, which has a slightly different spectrum of activity but there is generally less resistance to it than to erythromycin.
I can put some out at the front desk for you tomorrow morning (Saturday)? What volume is the hospital tank please? (It may not be out until 12 - 1 pm, Saturday mornings can be very hectic for me!).
Incidentally, veterinary references assert that erythromycin and tetracyclines are incompatible.
