Firemouth tankmates?

Does anyone have any tips for tankmates for two firemouths?

A pair? If so, not much in anything below a 55, as they'll be too territorial. But otherwise any fish over 2.5 inches would be safe. Or small but very quick fish, might not survive but maybe zebra danios. They're one of the most peaceful cichlids!

my firemouth doesn't bother my senegal pair or my african brown knife, he does like to have a go at my opaline gourami once in a while though

THey are one of the more peaceful species of cichlids...if they pair off...you can forget about tank mates...

I suggest zebra danios, giant danios, cory cats, clown loaches(require a bigger tank eventually) , anything that won't fit in their mouth basically

If its a pair, not very much. Although, it really does depend on the fish. Pretty much anything thats bigger than its mouth and can hold their ground against a Firemouth.

Yeah, that'd be fine.
