Firemouth tankmates?

Are you looking to add a community around the Firemouth?

THey are one of the more peaceful species of cichlids...if they pair off...you can forget about tank mates...

I suggest zebra danios, giant danios, cory cats, clown loaches(require a bigger tank eventually) , anything that won't fit in their mouth basically

I was gonna say get a gang of cory cats. Or maybe a cat fish of some sorts.

I have in my tank 4 Meekies with 4 Ellioti and 8 small (4-5cm) Sajicas. It is a community tank and there are no trouble mixing them

platys, swordtails or mollies make great tankmates with Thorichthys species.
