I got four Oscars and two angels together in a 350 litres tank. Today I saw three beautiful firemouths in a petstore. I was able to control myself :) thought it was a good idea to check with you guys first.
Should I buy these? will they harass my angels?

First of all, your tank is only about 90 gallons. So remove all but 1 of your oscars. 4 oscars need about 200 gallons or 750 liters. Your two angels are going to be bullied, they are not aggressive and have a hard time defending themselves against a cichlid like an Oscar. I would not add any Firemouths because you really don't have the room.

If your tank was significantly larger, there wouldn't be a problem mixing firemouths with oscars, but in this tank you need to remove fish, not add.

:iagree: maybe re think that one?

Ok. thanks for your opinions. My purpose with four O`s is that I want them to become pair. when that happens my petstore will buy back two of them. Yeah I do realize that I need to move the angels soon, but I think that as long as they get along with the oscars theres no need of removing them.

You could get away with a pair of Os in a 90 with lots of water changes. Wish I had done that now that I think back but that is without any other fish.

2os would be awesome if they got along and you don't mind two WCs a week.

Yeah, I really hopes that they will pair up. Oscars are a really cool fish, just like little puppies, with great personalitys. I know a guy who had a tiger O in a 90 g tank. When the christmas holiday was and he had a christmas tree the oscar got depressed. He just lay down at the gravel and stopped eating. When the tree was gone he started eating again and acting like before :screwy: :)
