Fronts are a colony species they do not thrive very well with out companions i would do no less than 5 Fronts in a 90gal tank.. I owned 7 of them in a 120gal they are very slow growers it took mine 4 years to reach maturity but they were 9" at that point and i received them at 2" at first..
In regards to your plant question Anubias should be fine i have Anubias in a lot of my tanks and no issues but i own Tanganyika's its more of a harder bitter tasting plant so most Africans leave them alone if its in the way when they start to breed they will remove it for you..
