The tank is a 55 gallon and was thinking 4 to 6 Elctric yellow lab cichlids and a featherfin squeaker catfish and was looking for another comaptible cihlid species with this stock list

Pseudotrophus Acei (P Acei) are a nice color contrast to the yellow labs. Demosoni's are beautiful, but mean as hell (from what I hear).
- Johanni (also mean)
- Mainganos
- Bumble bees
-Chipokae

all good choices and compatible with what you have. Really, most of the mbuna family are pretty mean! :) But if you get enough of them, there doesn't tend to be a lot of fighting. Unlike most tanks, African/Mbuna aquarists are encouraged to overstock to help keep aggression down.
There are a ton of choices.
Good luck!

could you possibly post pictures of any of these of these fish and how does 15 african cichlids sound with the catfish

I would be careful with any kind of "featherfin" catfish with african cichlids. It will probably turn into a "no fin" catfish

cichlid-forum.com has plenty of info and pics of Africans. Sorry to the mods if I'm not supposed to recommend other sites, but that's where I found all my African info.

I have a featherfin cat in my mbuna tank and they do fine together. They don't even notice each other.
Also, I've noticed in my tanks that if you combine fish that tend to occupy different areas of the tank the aggression is greatly reduced, or that look completely different.

So with the labs, most peaceful bottom dwellers would probably be okay. Also I have a school of tiger barbs in one of my tanks with OB peacocks. They pay them no attention whatsoever. I've also had a few gourami in this tank at one time. Nobody paid attention to them either. I guess they just don't see them as competition.

I know some people will adamantly tell you not to do this, and I am by no means an "expert", but in my tank it works. Hope this helps.
