where i am, live food is expensive, cooked prawns with shell is only 9.90 a kilo. pellets is expensive, but i stuff shrimp with high quality hikari massivore delite to add punch to the prawns.
i also breed and freeze mealworms.
so i feed that too.
i suggest you get it onto pellets mostly or dead food, and once or twice a week live crickets. you can even freeze crickets.
gut load them - with pellets and freeze them.
after 48 hours of putting only pellets in the cricket cage, the only thing intheir belly will be pellets, then freeze them.
aros will eat frozen insects easy enough.
stats are ok.
i would put 28 degrees for aros.

welcome can't wait for pics...i got my silver in march or so and it's 15" now. it eats mainly pellets and some incects...there are a few more things in the diet (to much to list) there awsome fish! they are great jumpers so make sure that your tank and future pond have a strong top! good luck with the fish!
