post up some pics of your pond walls so we can figure out how to put in a drain for a drip.

u have any cold water lines running by the pond any where to tap into?

sry im a pest ha ha :nilly:

im gonna work on a drip thread for u :D

Pups are not on the system anymore, so I'm not in a rush. I'm broke as shibby right now, so even if I did get a bulkhead thrown in the pond I don't have the scratch for the waterline filter.

Bottom line is I have a mess. A drip may help but the root of the problem is volume. I shrank the pond prior to adding Jim's rays. Once I get some scratch rounded up I need to just go pick up a new liner and try to double the size. I have Marbled substrate going on in there.... Literally.

Wanted to put all this off as I'm hoping to move soon but obviously it's just a matter of time before I start running into bigger problems is something's not done soon....

Lovely pups! Good to see them doing so well!

Oh no... I just read the rest of the posts. Sorry to hear that your pups have been going through a hard time...

wow just read all this thread, been gone for a while, good news on the pups bad news on the deaths. REMEMBER DB, KISS!! You know how to keep rays, pups are no different!!!!

Black worms, or cut up night crawlers are the way to go to get them feeding. I had 1 ray go several weeks before it ate the first time.....

They are motoros they should be able to handle the huge waterchanges i would think.

Maybe they had something wrong with them, if you miscarried the first litter, it is probably not something you did.

I caught them within an hour of her giving birth and 2/6 didn't even make it past the birthing process. Maybe mom just isn't ready for a big litter yet?

They don't seem to like blackworms. I have 2 left. One is eating chopped crawlers for sure. Not putting on weight or eating alot but is eating. The other isn't eating. Refusing all food, blackworms, bloodworms, crawlers, even ghost shrimp. Emaciated looking. A friggin living breathing skeleton. Was cruising the top of the water when I left for work today. Has a darkened blotch on one side of her stomach, and was toting some stringy slimey lookin poo behind her in these top water antics.

Don't know what's going on......

They may be Motoros but I think many would agree Marbles can be a bit more tempermental.

Maybe it was water, maybe it was me moving her, maybe it's just the mom, maybe there's so many maybes that if I keep caring I'm gonna lose my friggin mind.....

Learning experience to say the least.... And definetly NOT a fun one.
