Nice!! I have a baby version of your situation, 2 festae about 2 inch with my 2 teugs and 2 endli babies, the bigger one nips back of he gets messed with too much but the smaller one runs, no fin damage even so your 9 in should for sure be okay, I have heard they get more bold to fight back once past 10 inch which may help. I really have never had issues with too much harassing other then when bloody face my red wolf was young and would push my ornate around. Now BF just ignores the bichirs, might push one away for food

He's got a nice pattern and color! Great first bichir

Nice pick up. They are an amazing fish to keep. Try to place it in a reddish substrate if you can. They bring the best color of them.

Well unfortunately for some reason my red terror lost it and started attacking everybody. Shoulda known this woulda happened even after peace for 6 months. So I moved him to another tank. The Bichir is doing well with his other tank mates. Never seen him eat yet though. Would love to see that.

He'll come around eventually, most polys tend to not eat for a couple days after being in a new tank so once he gets used to his surrounding he should start eating
