Just put the first coat of pond coat on my tank...how the hell do you clean the brushes when finished? I will post pics later, I'm kind of in a hurry to run some errands right now. Thanks guys!!

Mineral Spirits will clean the brushes...sort of! It's easier to buy cheap brushes and throw them away. I bought $4 brushes....needed about 4-5 of them. I also went through another 5-6 of the $1 brushes for small projects. I had the best luck brushingon thepond coat and then smoothing with a foam roller, which I also threw away.

Its water soluble isn't it?

Anyhoot this is best...

Chucked the first ones, went and bought 2 more sets of them, tried soaking the brush in water and it just wasn't happening, haha. Gonna put a few more coats on tomorrow morning. Brushed the corners with some fiberglass tape for reenforcement, then rolled the rest of it. Inside tank dimensions are 44.5" x 20" x 26",flowerhorn should be more than happy with what I figured out to roughtly 100gal :naughty:, 3/4" plywood. As far as cost, the plywood was free :D pond coat $67 shipped for 1gallon, brushes about $15 total when I finish I will do a more thorough breakdown, still need to do a stand and sump. Glass I'll probably go 1/2" do I do tempered or pane glass though. I've heard pane but wouldn't that shatter under the right vibrations?
