FIRST CRAIGSLIST TANK DEAL

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice!! Ok now...Go to tractor supply tomorrow and pick up 2-3 bags of black diamond blasting sand(all black letters not red). Then search around for a couple of big pieces of driftwood. (I prefer large spiderwood), then get a bunch of plants and some type of moss and get to it!!

I dont trust used anymore. Im buying a new one in the next couple months.

Yeah, bought my 90 used. Was a good price for 200 including the 2 filters (ac110 and xp3) and custom welded stand and led lighting. But one of the seals is on borrowed time, the tank is almost as old as me. Hasn't gotten to the inside of the glass panel yet but it's peeling fairly bad and I'm worried my plecos will make it worse trying to eat the algae in there. Also needs a new front panel if I decide to reseal it, I think the guy scratched it while cleaning or his fish did it or something. I will probably keep it as a growout or livebearer tank, if I don't give it to my fiance's parents for a small reef or mbuna setup once we move. If I get another craigslist tank though it will be acrylic since I want BIG and most people around here are asking only like 100-200 bucks less than a new one and hardly anyone has anything over 150 gallons that isn't already drilled (kinda just want canisters/hobs, we rent, if a sump explodes because of my bad plumbing skills then yeah evicted lmao). Plus a lot need serious buffing which is ehhh. I think I will try to save up at least 500-1000 bucks and get something really nice and shiny. My dad can weld the stand. Or if I'm cheap I'll risk a used again when I find the right dimensions haha.

Also nice find though, you can repaint or restain that stand and it should come out pretty good. You could polish it with a1:1 oil and vinegar ratio too assuming it's all real wood and it will look great. :D
