Thanks man ...

Careful with pbass. Try grow twice as fast as datnoids and are very. Very greedy.
Just ensure the tiger is always well fed it should be ok.

It's an IT (most commonly available, IMO). Pretty nice one you got there. Ade is right. Dats grow very slow compared to Pbass. Pbass I know can get over 12" within a year (depending on species) while these guys can take a couple of years or more to attain that size. At this size, it would be fine with smaller and/or semi-aggressive Cichlids that don't grow too large.

LoL welcome to the other darkside Hulon. Yeah you have to becareful. You can mix Peacock bass and dats together but you need the right size dats with certain size bass. Dats can hold there own against bass when they get big just not when they are small. Like your dat being 2.5inches and your bass being 6inches is not a good match imo. I would mix a 4incher with it and get the bass use to having a dat as a tankmate or add a group of dats so they dont know which one to mess with. I keep groups of 3 to 6 with my bass and they get along but sometimes dats dont like bass and will mess with them. Mine do it here and there. Before you know it your going to want more...lol

Ya...dats are quite cool. They also have a good personality. As funwow said they make good tankmates but as they get larger they seem to enjoy picking on the bass. I have a 9in NGT that runs my tank. He whoops on my 14" cichla. And now that my indos are getting bigger they are also starting to get ballsy and pick on the bass. Treat your small dat like a small cichla and you'll do good.

Here's the abbreviations

AT-silver datnoid
IT-Indo dat
NTT-thinbar dat
NGT-New guinea Tiger dat
ST-Siamese/widebar dat
CT-Cambodian Tiger-another widebar...supposedly
