First DIY 50 Gal tank stand!

Hey guys, this will be my first do it yourselfer lol! me and my dad plan on putting together a stand for my 50 gallon cichlid tank. Im literally starting right now (9:33pm Eastern) and ill be posting pictures periodically as we get through the stand. The design is a standard rectangular square, nothing out of the ordinary, just a really strong stand.

The start:
9:45pm 1/4/2011

So my dad said we got screws.........but we dont, so were cutting the wood and then im going to get screws tomorrow. so itll be cut tonight, built tomorrow. tank on and running by thursday

glue and screws. i have woodglue. i dont trust just glueing everything together.....thats just a little crazy lol and sounds like a whole bunch of water and fish on the ground.... lol

That is how it starts with the DIY bug. First a hand saw and a 50 g. tank stand. Then the next thing you know it is a backhoe, house addition and a 50,000 g. tank. Not that that is a bad thing.

haha and yea i was all ready, thats why im taking the time factor. i want to show that it really dosnt take that long to build a quality stand, a few hours, some good work ethic, you could potentially build one in less then a day......that is if you have all the goods.... lol

hahaha and 50,000gal tank........in my dreams. im a college student and my dads already complaining about the 2 tanks i have already lol
