Australia
I bought this eel from an LFS, its an Australian Long-finned eel Anguilla reinhardtii and around 45cm. After a day of hiding hes become more active and is eating frozen blood worms. Luckily i have some heavy lids because he is constantly trying to push his way out and even up the outlets of the canister filters. I no hes not as glamourous as a fire eel but hes still pretty cool in his own right.

Anguilla are on my list =D very nice. might try adding a few more hidey holes for him, I noticed w/ my "eels" they stop trying to jump when they have a place to call "home" that they like.

nice "eel" and i use that word in it's truest form because you have a true eel. he might not have the color or patterns of a fire or tire track, but it's cool. i want a true eel, but i can't find one.
