Its always so satisfying catching an awesome fish! When I was 14, I caught a 30" walleye! It took me like 25 minutes to reel him in, it was AWESOME.
25 minutes...
You have got to be kidding!!!!!!!!!
Almost a half an hour to bring in a walleye!!!! There has got to be a great story.

i usedcut up hot dogs. they turkey ones.

I was 14, and never caught anything bigger than some small bass, pike, perch and sunfish. This time my uncle told me to use "the good lure". I expected a small pike. I was using like noob line, and a walmart fishing rod, it took me so long because I was trying so hard to not snap my line and rod!

If you want to catch more/ bigger bullhead, catch a bluegill chop it up into chunks and put a chunk on the hook best bullhead bait out there and most of them will be big.

Thats pretty illegal. At least here in Fl so you may want to check locally before doing that.

step up to saltwater fishing for the real monsters ;)

Congrats on the first fish!!

To me fishing plastic worms are the best way to catch bullhead. Put some split shop on the smallest worm you can find so it sinks, wait till it hits the bottom and then jerk it along the bottom. I have caught 14 bullheads this way, give it a try!

Thank you for the congrats, my friend says he might take me saltwater fishing next year, but for now i think im going to stay with freshwater. i only have a pond pole, so my understanding is that it's easy to break.

Pike: i think im going to stick with what i already had, it seems to be working for me, but if i ever get the oppurtunity to get those worms, ill try it :)

I copied this right out of floridas fishing regs.

Whole pickerel or bream (e.g., bluegill, redear sunfish, redbreast sunfish, spotted sunfish, flier, warmouth) or parts thereof may be used as bait for sportfishing by he angler who caught them.

thalen you might want to reread your states regs.

http://www.myfwc.com/RULESANDREGS/Freshwater_FishRules_index.htm#METHODS
Its illegal to cut them up on site, you can bring whatever you want.
