hey, i just put my first fish in my tank to get the nitrogen cycle going, i got 4 danios.

it is 4 o clock in the after noon now.

how often should i feed myh fish and when should i feed them first (with them being stressed due to enviroment change) ?????

I wouldnt overfeed as you dont want to get your levels too high for them to live. I would try to feed a small amount this evening and then in the morning and evenings here out. Keep your test kit handy to monitor the cycle process. There is also a way to do a fishless cycle for future reference. Many people do this very successfully. If you have used filter media on another tank, you can also use that to 'seed' your new tank in order to put bacteria in there immediately and greatly reduce cycle time.

will just one pinch of flakes serve four little danios?

100 litres mate

why are my fish swimming right at the top of the tank now when they were swimming around mid level in the shop?

when i first put them in i watched them for about 5 mins and they were at all levels but mainly the middle, why are they just hanging around the top (out of veiw) after a couple of hours?

probly not enough air in the tank. They are at the top trying to breathe easier. Do you have an airstone?
