I would have to say that it's my first real forum. They have those group things on myspace, but I don't count that.

YES MFK is my first....lol... I just recently moved to NC and one night I just wanted to find a place to talk to other people in the hobby that like Crenicichla, since all my fish keeping friends live in Florida and I found this site and another site that I liked and read a lot of the threads in both sites and MFK fit my taste better so I joined up here.

no, when i first moved onto larger cichlids a few years ago and needed help i joined a couple of others but MFK is by far the best for info and fast responses. i dismissed MFK at first as a bunch of yanks constantly competing with each other to see who's was the biggest and cramming as much into a tank as possible with little regard for the fish. of course i know now that it's not the case but this is what some other sites are peddling about MFK.

Me too. I've been whoring fish forums for about 11 years, can't even remember the name of the first one I joined, had a pale yellow coloured background though...

Not my first forum. my first was PFK (practical fish keeping), and i can honestly say this is much better. According to them, i couldnt keep virtually anything in my tank. and instead of offering advice, it became one big whipping.....
